These terms and conditions apply when you book a bus, minibus, coach or car with driver through this site. I run the service as an owner-operator and I keep the terms short, so that a school, a club or a company can read them before accepting a quote. If a point does not suit your group, tell me before you book and I can write the agreed arrangement into the confirmation. What these terms and conditions cover
They apply to bookings made through this website: transfers, trips by the hour and day trips for groups. The bus hire page explains the service and the price page shows the amounts that are fixed. They do not limit your statutory rights as a consumer.
A booking exists once I have confirmed it in writing. You can ask for a quote with the form on the contact page or by writing to hello@hirebusbarcelona.com.
Prices and VAT
- Prices are in euros and include VAT.
- The price table states the amount for each vehicle and service.
- Other destinations, other dates and trips of several days are quoted on request, and the quote states the amount in euros before you accept it.
I do not add an amount later for something that was not in the quote. If the group wants an extra stop or a longer day, I tell you what changes and agree it first.
Hire by the hour
Hire by the hour has a minimum of 6 hours per day and no maximum. Extra hours are charged at the hourly rate shown for the vehicle. For hire over several days, the 6-hour minimum applies to each day, and I quote it on request.
Quotes and confirmation
- You send the form with the date, pick-up point, destination and number of passengers.
- I answer by e-mail or WhatsApp with a quote and the vehicle I suggest.
- The quote is valid as stated in the quote.
- When you accept, I send a written confirmation of the booking.
Payment and cancellation conditions are stated in the written confirmation of each booking. Please read it when it arrives, and tell me before the date of the trip if anything differs from what I quoted.
Vehicles and passenger numbers
The vehicles are the Mercedes V-Class (up to 7 passengers), the Mercedes Sprinter minibus (up to 16), a minibus (up to 33) and a coach (up to 60). The group must not be larger than the seats of the vehicle. If the group grows after you booked, tell me as soon as you know, so that I can offer a bigger vehicle. Changes to a booking
Write to me as early as you can if the date, the time or the route changes. I will tell you whether the change is possible and what it means for the amount. It becomes part of the booking when I confirm it in writing.
Liability
I plan each trip carefully and the drivers follow Spanish traffic rules. I cannot control traffic, road closures, weather or delays to flights and ships, and I am not responsible for the effects of events outside my control. This does not exclude responsibility where the law does not allow it.
Complaints
If something went wrong, write to hello@hirebusbarcelona.com soon after the trip, with the booking date, the route and a short description. I reply in writing. You may also use the consumer channels available under Spanish and Catalan rules; the Catalan Government publishes information about them.
Personal data
I use the details you send only to answer your request and to carry out the booking. I do not publish them. The city of Barcelona publishes consumer information too.
